Are
you having trouble viewing or downloading the Portable Document
Format (PDF) files above? This section provides guidance
on how to successfully access these documents.
Step 1: Determine if you have Adobe Acrobat Reader
version 3.0 or higher
Information on this page is saved in PDF, or Portable
Document Format, and you must have the Adobe
Acrobat Viewer in order to view these files. You can
determine if you have Adobe Acrobat Viewer by searching your
files/folders for "Adobe Acrobat Reader". If you don't
have this application, use this link or the button on the
right to go to the Adobe site and download the Acrobat
Reader 5.0 5.6mb.
Step 2: To save/download PDF files to your hard drive:
1. Use your mouse to click on the link and the file should
automaically download to your harddrive, if not -
2. Use your mouse to "right click" on the file you
wish to obtain. You should see a menu with a "Save to..."
or a "Save Target As" option. Choose this
option, and save the file to your computer (either a disk
or your harddrive).
Step 3: To view PDF files in your Browser:
1. If your computer is set up to automatically open
up PDF files in your browser, you will be able to view the
file in a few seconds. If this process
takes longer than a minute, you should go to Step 2.
ATTENTION MAC USERS:
To download files:
1. Hold down the clicker on your mouse until a list of menu
options appears.
2. From this menu option, choose the "Save to..." option,
and save the file to your computer (either a disk or your
harddrive).
Step 4: To print PDF files you have opened in your browser
(by following Step 2):
1. Click on the Abobe print icon (underneath your browser
buttons) to print out the entire file. DO NOT select the PRINT
option from your Internet browser, because this action prints
out only one page of the file.
Step 5: If you are still having trouble downloading PDF files
from the SLC Web Site, ask yourself these questions:
1. Does your company’s
firewall allow the downloading of PDF files?
Your browser options may not allow for the downloading
of PDF files due to system security issues. You may need to
contact your systems support staff to find out if you can
re-set your browser options to accommodate PDF files.
You may also obtain PDF files by sending an E-mail to jr@swiss-chalets.com
2. Are you trying to
open the PDF files in your browser?
You may be more successful if you save the files to
your hard drive and open them after exiting your Internet
browser.
3. "When I print the PDF files, I am only able to print one
page. Why?"
You
are selecting the "print" option from your browser.
You must select the Adobe Print icon (underneath your browser
buttons) to print out the entire file.
4.
"When I click on the links to PDF files, I see gibberish.
Why?"
Your browser is not configured to automatically open PDF files.
You must follow Step 3 above to save these files to your hard
drive and open using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
